System Setting
ONU MAC
Authentication
Select this option to allow the OLT to validate an ONU’s access and
registration to the OLT based on the ONU’s MAC address.
ONU Silence
Timeout Enter the time interval (in seconds) in which the OLT allows the failed
ONUs to register with it again.
OLT Scheduling
Method Select the traffic scheduling method that the OLT uses to service
traffic. Traffic with the highest priority goes through the logical link
with the lowest number. The smaller the index number of the link, the
higher the link priority.
If you select SP, the links are serviced strictly based on the link
priority.
If you select WRR, the links are serviced on a rotating basis based on
the default link weight (1:2:4:8). Links with larger weights get more
services than links with smaller weights.
If you select SP+WRR, traffic with the highest priority is transmitted
first. When that link empties, the OLT use WRR to service the links
with lower priorities.
Priority Use the following fields to configure the ToS-to-CoS or CoS-to-Cos
priority mapping. The settings here take effect only when the traffic
bridging type is set to a priority-related one, such as Priority Shared
VLAN or Priority Simple Bridge in a Link Bridging Profile.
On the ONU, traffic assigned to higher priority links gets serviced
faster while traffic in lower priority links may be dropped if the
network is congested.
Upstream Priority
Copy Mapping Set how the OLT replaces or adds the IEEE 802.1p priority field (CoS)
value in the upstream packets.
Select ToS Only and the OLT checks the ToS (Type of Service) field in
the IP header and replaces or adds the IEEE 802.1p priority value
according to the ToS to CoS priority mapping table.
Select CoS Only and the OLT checks the IEEE 802.1p priority field in
VLAN tag and replaces or adds the IEEE 802.1p priority value
according to the CoS to CoS priority mapping table.
Select ToS Over CoS to have the OLT checks the ToS field and
replaces or adds the CoS field according to the ToS to CoS mapping
table. If there is no ToS field in the packets, the OLT then checks the
IEEE 802.1p priority field and replaces or adds the CoS field according
to the CoS to CoS mapping table.
Select CoS Over ToS to have the OLT checks the IEEE 802.1p priority
field and replaces or adds the CoS field according to the CoS to CoS
mapping table. If there is no CoS field in the packets, the OLT then
checks the ToS field and replaces or adds the CoS field according to
the ToS to CoS mapping table.
