NetNumen™ U31 R06 Hardware Installation Guide

12.2 Checking the Assemblies in the Cabinets

This procedure describes how to verify that the assembly installation in the cabinets

complies with the related design files and related standards.

Prerequisite

A cross head screwdriver is ready.

The

Core Network Product Hardware Installation Quality Standard

is ready.

Steps

Verify that the assemblies in the cabinets are installed in a proper position in

accordance with the design requirements.

Verify that all fastening screws of the assemblies are tightened properly, and the board

extractors are locked in position.

Verify that the surfaces of the assemblies are free of dirt.

Verify that all labels are properly attached.

Verify that blank panels are installed in the empty slots.

Verify that the air inlets and air outlets of the fans are not blocked, and the fan modules

are present.

Caution!

The fan modules have been installed in a shelf when the shelf is delivered. It is not

allowed to remove the fan modules to prevent hardware damage.

12.3 Checking the Power Cables and Grounding Cables

This procedure describes how to verify that the installation of power cables and grounding

cables complies with the related design files and related standards.

Prerequisite

A cross head screwdriver is ready.

The

Verify that the power devices (such as power distribution boxes) are installed in a

proper position in accordance with the design requirements.

Verify that the power cables and grounding cables are properly installed.
