A surplus length should be reserved for all the cables.

11.2 Alarm Box Installation

In the maintenance and monitoring room, fix the alarm box and connect the power cables

and network cables of the alarm box properly, so that the alarm box can be interconnected

with the alarm server.

11.2.1 Installing the Alarm Box

The alarm box is installed in the control room or in the office to give alarms of different

severities. The alarm box should be placed in a prominent location. The following aspects

should be taken into consideration before alarm box installation:

Actual situation of the project site

Length of the power cable

Location of the AC adaptor

Location of any other alarm box

Prerequisite

A hammer, expansion tubes, 4×M5 countersunk head wood screws, and a pencil are

ready.

The installation location of the alarm box is determined.

The mounting plate is removed from the back of the alarm box.

Steps

Use the mounting plate as a drill template to mark the installation holes on the wall.

Alternatively, you can draw lines properly, see

Figure 11-1

Drill four 40 mm-deep Φ8 holes at the marked positions.

Hammer lightly the plastic expansion tubes into the holes until the expansion tubes

are completely seated in the holes.

Secure the mounting plate on the wall with four M5 countersunk head wood screws,
