Three-way catalytic converter
Safe driving under various road and weather
conditions
The three-way catalytic converter is an emission controller installed
in exhaust system. It is used to reduce the pollutant in waste gas.
Caution !
A large amount of unburned gas will enter into three-way catalytic
converter to overheat the three-way catalytic converter and cause a
fire. In order to avoid the occurrence of this condition or other
damage damages, the following requirements must be met:
● Timely refuel vehicle (merely use of lead-less gasoline) when
the fuel level is extremely low, because engine will shut down
when fuel uses up, overloading the three-way catalytic
converter.
● Avoid the engine idling or running at high speed for a long
time.
● Maintain the engine in good condition. The abnormal electrical
system, electronic ignition system or fuel system of engine
may result in too high temperature of three-way catalytic
converter. The three-way catalytic converter may be invalid in
case of abnormal high temperature for long.
● In order to ensure the normal operation of three-way catalytic
converter and whole emission control system, the vehicle must
be subject to regular inspection according to the Zotye vehicle
maintenance schedule.
Traveling on the poor roads
It is necessary to driver your vehicle at low speed in case of cross
wind. This is convenient to control the car.
Avoid traveling on the high or sharp-edged roads, curb or other
obstacles, which otherwise may lead to tire blow-out.
Please slow down firstly before traveling on bumpy roads, which
otherwise may damage the tire or the wheel hub.
The brake may wet when washing your vehicle or driving into deep
water area. To check whether it is wet, it is necessary to first check
whether the vicinity is safe and then lightly step the brake pedal. If the
normal braking force is not felt, this shows that the brake may be wet.
In order to dry it, it is allowed to drive the vehicle at low speed and
lightly step the brake pedal till that it recovers function. If it still fails
to operate safely, it is allowed to park your vehicle at a safe place and
seek for helps from the authorized service station of Zotye Auto.
Warning!
● You need to be careful when driving on bad road or off-road.
Too high speed and incorrect driving may result in vehicle
damage and personal injury.
● Slow down and shift the transmission to the low-speed gear
before driving on long and steep slope. In addition, use the
engine brake, rather than the sliding with transmission shifted
to neutral, because excessive use of brake may overheat or
even fail the engine.
