Handling of accidents
Jumper type startup
When the battery is dead or cannot start vehicle, it is possible to
connect a cable from another vehicle to your vehicle for startup. It is a
must to follow the steps shown below to make sure the safe
operations.
1. Turn the starter switch or the ignition switch to “OFF", and turn
off all the lamps and electrical appliances from both vehicles,
except for the hazard warning indicators (if needed).
2. Connect the cable with red positive pole to the positive (+) pole
(A) of vehicle to be started.
3. Do not have the other end of cable with red positive pole (+)
contact any metal, but connect it to positive pole (+) of live
battery (B).
4. Connect the black negative pole (-) of cable to the negative pole
(-) of live battery (C). Remember that, the other end of this cable
cannot touch anything before the next step. In addition, do not
connect the other end of negative-pole (-) cable to the dead
battery, but to unpainted metal part of engine of vehicle to be
started up.
5. Connect the other end of cable with black negative pole (-) to the
unpainted metal part (D) of engine with dead battery, away from
the engine running parts and battery.
6. Start the engine of another vehicle. Then slightly raise the engine
rpm and hold it for 5min, so as to charge your vehicle.
7. While keeping another engine running, start your vehicle.
8. After startup of engine, remove the jumper cable in the reverse
order and go to the authorized service station for inspection.
Description!
Please go to the authorized service station for help, when the
battery in the engine compartment is blocked with other parts and
thus enable to directly do the jumper startup due to difficult
removal and re-installation.
