* Blind spot assist (BSA)
Activation of warning
When any other vehicle enters the blind spot detection area of the car,
the warning will be activated, as shown on the above diagram.
Description!
On the diagram in the section of BSA: the gray vehicle indicates
the vehicle with BSA; the green vehicle indicates other vehicle on
the road; the yellow shadow area indicates the blind spot detection
area of gray car.
Cases that may result in warning omission or failure
In some cases, there is item not reported or warned (mis-warned
target: when the item comes out, the warning indicator does not light
up). It is normal that some targets are missed.
1. The warning may be omitted when the cars, as a fleet, pass
through the blind spot, as shown on the above diagram.
2. While overtaking (overtaken by) a long vehicle (truck train or
bus), this vehicle appears both the rear blind zone and in the field
of driver’s view, leading to the warning missed.
