Next Steps
Your installation is now complete. If you are installing a wireless
ad-hoc network, all of your network clients should be connected to
each other.
The next step, for both ad-hoc and infrastructure networks, is for
each client to determine whether it will share its printer, if any, and
its files. This is covered in Chapter 3.
You may also want to create a higher level of security for your
wireless network. This is achieved by changing the network identi-
fication (Service Set Identifier, or SSID) for all clients and by im-
plementing Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP). These topics are
covered in Chapter 4. If you have a simple two- or three-client ad-
hoc network in a private home or a small office, you probably al-
ready have all the security you need.
