Device description

(Fig. A)

The food slicer consists of:

Driving system which includes:

1

 Body.

2

Table  with  carriage  blockade  with  elements  from

chromium-nickel sheet.

3

 Switch button.

4

Regulator  with  a  crank  to  regulate  the  thickness  of

slicing.

5

Circular knife with clamp handle (for mounting the knife

in a drive) made from stainless steel, with serrate edge,

very stiff and hard, which can slice different products with

equally good effect.

and other components:

6

Plastic carriage (with chromium-nickel elements for types

294.5NM-silver line, 294.6). The carriage can be easily

removed from slicer table.

7

Clamp, that serves for holding small products. Similarly

to carriage, the clamp protects user’s hand from rotating

knife.

8

Tray, made from chromium-nickel sheet for type 493.6 or

plastic for all other slicers, placed during slicing next to

the slicer, so that slices fall freely into it.

9

The  slicer  type  493.6  is  equipped  with  special  knife

for  slicing  ham.  Moreover,  type  493.6  has  additional

protection, i.e. it will not start working until the carriage is

placed on the table.

Preparing the slicer for work

(Fig. B)

1

Put the slicer in a place comfortable to operate it, near

the socket, so that the switch button can be pressed with left

tumb, and a product or the clamp can be held in right hand.

Kitchen countertop should be dry and have good grip. The

slicer cannot move while working.

2

Set the regulator in a position corresponding to thickness

of slicing 0 mm.

3

Insert the carriage into table guide until blockade snaps.

4

Put the product on the carriage.

5

Install the clamp on the carriage.

6

Set  the  required  thickness  of  slicing  within  the  range

0-15 mm using the crank.

7

Put the plug of connecting cord into socket.

Starting the slicer

(Fig. C)

1

Press the switch button with left hand until resistance, in

the direction marked on the slicer.

2

After  releasing  the  switch  goes  back  to  its  original

position and the slicer stops.

3

Pressing the product with right hand move it together with

the carriage (and clamp) from you until the end of carriage

range, move it back and repeat the activity as many times as

many slices you want to have.

Directions for slicing

Put the product on the carriage in such position so as to

obtain slices of required shape (e.g. obliquely).

Too big products (which cannot be placed on the carriage)

cut into smaller parts, which may be easily pushed with

a clamp, what eliminates the risk of injury from the knife.

Before  slicing  cheese  wipe  the  knife  with  wet  cloth

(avoiding  touching  the  knife  with  your  hands).

During

wiping  the  slicer  must  always  be  disconnected.

Cheese will not stick to the knife.

Approximate thickness of slicing is defined by symbols

next  to  the  regulator  (bread,  cheese,  cured  meat).

Manufacturer of the slicer recommends slicing products

as follows:

bread into slices about 10 mm thick,

cheese and semi-soft cured meats into slices about

3 mm,
