3.8.1
Calibration
In case of a new test or a test of a new lot, calibration must be performed. Only Calibrator of the same lot as
the cartridge should be used, and the calibration procedure is as follows:
Edit/Scan the calibrator barcode on the tube containing the calibrator.
Add the required volume of calibrator into the sample well of the cartridge.
Insert a cartridge of the test/lot in the carousel;
The calibration data will be processed and stored in CALIBRATIONS of the main window. All tests ran using
cartridges of the same lot number as the calibrator will be evaluated and calculated based on the stored
calibration data.
3.8.2
Quality Control
The QC is treated as a sample. Only Quality Control of the same lot as the cartridge should be used, and the
Quality Control procedure is as follows:
Edit/Scan the QC barcode on the tube containing the Quality Control.
Add the required volume of QC material into the sample well of the cartridge.
The calibration data will be processed and stored in QCS of the main window.
3.8.3
Sample Code Edit
To edit the sample barcode listed in the table, move the cursor on to the row corresponding to the sample,
click to edit the barcode code of the sample.
3.9
Cartridge Code Edit
The cartridge barcodes are scanned by the external barcode reader.
In case the cartridge barcodes cannot be read due to a barcode defect, it is possible to edit the barcode by
mean of the soft keyboard or hardware keyboard.
Once the cartridge barcode is manipulated, the corresponding message will be printed next to the results on
the final report and it will be highlighted with the following message: “The result may be not correct because
of the use of no valid cartridges.”
3.10
Methods Update
After scanning the cartridge barcode and “Unknown Test” is displayed on screen, this means the methods of
this test is not in the method database.
