Handling Samples
Users may dispense serum into the sample well on the cartridge either before or after inserting the cartridge
into the carousel. In either case, safety practices should be followed.
Biohazard
The samples potentially have biohazardous condition; please follow the standard operation and safety
practices.
3.5.1
Calibrator
Each calibrator provided in the kit is identified by a barcode, with the following information:
Test identification code;
Lot number;
Cal OD (from Cal
OD
0 to Cal
OD
6) or 4PL parameter;
Tolerance coefficient
Note
The number of calibrator(s) depends on the parameter information.
All the qualitative parameters just have the OD
cut off
.
To run a calibration, the test identification code, and lot number must be the same as those on the
corresponding cartridges.
The calibrator(s) can be processed in the same run with the samples provided that the cartridges are
of the same lot number.
The calibrator is processed in the same way as the sample procedure. Enter the calibrator code either by
reading the barcode label with the external bar code reader or type in the barcode number manually in the
running list. Either way, the analyzer recognizes the calibrator information automatically.
Biohazard
The Calibrator(s) potentially have biohazardous condition; please follow the standard operation and safety
practices.
