INTRODUCTION
This chapter includes all inform ation necessary to perform recom m ended checks and adjust-
m ents. If follow ed, these preventive m aintenance procedures w ill ensure m ore reliable vehi-
cle operation, a longer service life and reduce the need for costly overhaul w ork. This
inform ation applies to vehicles already in service as w ell as to new vehicles that are being
prepared for sale. All service technicians should be fam iliar w ith this entire chapter.
