Novell Network
Use this page to specify whether to support a Novell Network or not.
When there are more than one network ports in NP1040 NAS server,
and the server is set up as having multiple subnets, this page will
display multiple tabs such as
Subnet 1 , Subnet 2 , etc., allowing
system administrator to setup Novell environment within each subnet.
If you want to allow access by Novell clients, enter the correct values
for
Frame Type and Network Number . The Internal network number
must be unique and should be set automatically to avoid conflicts.
Note:
1.
When selecting automatic configuration of the Internal Network
Number , make sure the server’s IP address is not in conflict
with other servers.
2.
When adding NP1040 to a network where a Novell server is
already set up, you have to make sure the Novell server has the
same
External Network Number and Frame Type settings with
NP1040 . Auto-detect settings on the Novell server is not
recommended.
