Deleting a shared folder
To delete a shared folder, select the desired folder (use Ctrl for
multiple and Shift for continuous selection) in the list on the left
windowpane, then click
Remove
.
The default shared folders
publicn
cannot be deleted.
Shared folder paths
The option
Path
is only available for NFS and cannot be edited
manually. The system will automatically enter the path
“
/volumen/Shared_Folder_Name
” for each shared folder on
NP1040
NAS server . For example, if you create a shared folder called
test
on
the first volume of
NP1040
NAS server, the system will automatically
assign the path
/ volume1/test
. This default value cannot be changed
by the administrator.
Once the shared folder is created, the system administrator must use
the
Windows/Apple/Novell Privileges
or
NFS Privileges
tabs to choose
users and their access privileges. All files stored in the shared folder
will have the same privileges.
Windows/ Apple/ Novell User Privileges
The system administrator can use this setting to assign access
privileges for local users/groups (i.e. Windows/Apple/Novell clients
