Always use the parking brake pedal
when parking. Otherwise, the vehicle
may slide to the bottom of the slope
while parked on the slope.
Step and release parking brake
Step on the parking brake pedal. In
order to get better retention force, step
on the brake pedal and hold it until the
parking brake pedal is depressed.
Step on the brake pedal and then the
parking brake pedal.

Electric power steering system
(EPS)
EPS assists steering through the motor,
and automatically adjust the steering
according to the speed, steering torque
and wheel steering angle.
The advantages of EPS are simple
structure and energy saving. Compared
with the traditional hydraulic power
steering system, EPS only needs energy
in the actual steering, and this on-de-
mand mode can reduce power loss.
When the start switch is "ON", the yellow
EPS fault warning indicator is on for
about 2s. If the warning indicator does
not go off after turning on or is on during
driving, it indicates that there is some
fault in EPS.

If EPS fails or cannot work, it will
become very heavy when turning the
steering wheel, which will greatly affect
the driving safety. You should contact
the XEV authorized service station for
maintenance ASAP.
