When a new supply is installed into the printer, the count for that Customer Replaceable
Consumable, or CRC, is reset to zero. After the new CRC is installed, the printer blows the CRC
fuse. If a used consumable is installed, the printer detects the blown fuse. Because the fuse is
already blown, the CRC count will not be reset to zero for the used supply.
When installing a used CRC, use the hidden Reset menu to individually reset the count to zero.
