MedWeld 5000 Technical Reference Manual

Control and DEP-

100S cannot

communicate

(DEP and MedLAN

LEDs may be off or

blinking)

Bad connection between

timer unit and DEP-100S.

Check connection. Verify that it is

secure.

Check for bad/faulty connector and/or

cable.

Cycle power.

If networking, no network

power supply or no external

120 VAC source con-

nected to the power supply.

Make sure you have a network power

supply and that external 120 VAC is

connected.

Faulty DEP-100S, WTC

timer or Network Power

Pack.

Replace as necessary.

Incorrect network address

for weld control.

Verify the welder ID and network

address of the device.

Communication over

the MedLAN channel

is inoperable.

(MedLAN LEDs may

be off or blinking)

Improper or loose MedLAN

wiring.

Check for secure and correct wiring.

Two or more controls have

the same network address

number.

Check MedLAN address of each

control. Each control must have a

UNIQUE address.

Faulty WTC timer, faulty

DEP-100S or faulty Net-

work Power Pack.

Replace as necessary.
