Pressure
Switch
The PRESSURE
SWITCH input was
not active when
required by the
control, or it was
removed while the
control was executing
a schedule.
Faulty robot or ladder logic.
Check ladder logic to verify that
the input is being activated.
Loose or incorrect wiring to
the input module.
Check for proper I/O designa-
tions. Check to make sure all
wiring connections are secure
Faulty input module.
Replace input module.
INITIATION
ON POWER-
UP
The weld control had
valid inputs and
attempted to fire a
weld durring the
power-up process
Latched or stuck I/O from the
robot or PLC
Check all inputs to the weld
control to verify that there is not
a latched bit for weld initiate
with a valid binary select.
NO WORK
DETECTED
(CHC)
This is only used
when using CHC and
represents the sec-
ondary resistance is
low and repersents
that there is nothing
to weld
No part to weld or tip to tip
weld.
Place the proper work piece to
be welded in the welding inter-
face
LOW HEAT
DETEC-
TION(CHC)
This is only used
when using CHC and
repersents that there
was not enough
energy delivered to
complete the weld
Resistance of the work piece
is limiting the energy to be
applied durring the weld.
Increase the weld level to
increase the total energy.
WIRE BREAK
DETEC-
TION(CHC)
This is only used
when using CHC and
repersents that there
is no wires to the
electrode to measure
the secondary resis-
tance
When no wires are connected
to the secondary then the
CHC process cannot regulate
current
Check the tip wires to verify
proper connection back to the
cabinet.
BREAK-
THROUGH
LOW LIMIT
This is only used
when using the
Breakthrough func-
tion in a welding
sequence and the
ontime level is below
the breakthrough limit
before blanking time
is over.
Breakthrough limit is set to
low. No sealer used on the
part which would bring the
ontime below the break-
through level early.
Check that sealer was used,
check limis for breakthrough
function
