VIII. CHANGING VOLTAGE SETTING
The electric gate opener is delivered set-up for 440/460/480 VAC, 3PH operation. To
change the voltage to 230/240 VAC, 3PH operation, three tasks must be performed:
1.
De-energize all power leading to the gate opener.
2.
In gate opener's electric motor's conduit box, change it to 230/240 VAC.
3.
In the motor starter's NEMA 4 enclosure:
a.
Move the jumpers on the control transformer. As delivered these
jumpers are across H2 and H3. Remove these two jumpers and
place one across H1 and H2, and one across H3 and H4.
b.
Change the setting on the overload relay (the motor leads are
connected to the overload relay), from 7.5 AMPS to 15 AMPS.
