1. Unplug the treadmill from the power source. Ensure the treadmill cannot be turned
back on.
2. Remove the trim plate/boot screws using either standard/Phillips head screwdriver
and slide the trim plate/boot up the hand rail slightly (Pos. 2, 3).
3. Remove the 2 silver screws located on both ends of the side cover (Pos. 4).
4. Remove the side covers from the treadmill (Pos. 1).
5. Remove 6 screws holding the electrical cover in place and remove the electrical
cover (Pos. 5, 6).
6. Using the Phillips head screwdriver, loosen the R, S, and T terminals on the motor
control board and carefully remove the wires (Pos. 10).
7. Unplug the ground wire for that cable from the frame and carefully unplug Con-
nector P1 (Pos. 11).
8. Using the side cutters, cut Ty-wrap used to hold cables down. Carefully feed wires
through the opening under the handrail.
9. Using the ½” deep well socket, loosen the 4 Hex head cap screws that attach the
motor, located on the left running side of the treadmill (Pos. 12).
10. Disengage the drive belt and slide the motor into the treadmill, being careful not to
damage the motor pulley (Pos. 13, 14).
11. Move to the opposite (right) side of the treadmill and remove the motor from the
device via the opening in the frame (Pos. 9).
1. Slide the motor into the treadmill opening between the drive shaft pulley and hand-
rail clamps located on the motor control board side of the treadmill (Pos. 9).
2. Carefully push motor pulley through the bracket used to mount the motor. Install
the motor on the bracket using the Hex head cap screws, medium split lock wash-
ers, flat washers, and external tooth lock washers (Pos. 12, 14). DO NOT TIGHTEN!
3. Attach drive belt to motor pulley and use a large standard screwdriver to pry the
motor in the direction needed to tension the belt (Pos. 13). The tension should be
¼” play in either direction.
4. Tighten bolts used to attach motor.
5. Carefully feed the wires out of the right running side of the treadmill, through the
motor access opening (Pos. 9). Keep the wires clear of the running belt.
6. Feed the wires through the opening under the handrail and Ty-wrap the cables
down to the frame.
7. Reconnect P1 and plug the ground wire for that cable to the frame ground located
near P1 (Pos. 10).
8. Reconnect R, S, and T wires (Pos. 10).
9. Install the electrical cover (Pos. 5).
10. Install the trim plates/boots. Tighten the boot screws just until they meet the rub-
ber (Pos. 2).
