Information on log files
8.7.1
Request log files from the software
WERMA StockSAVER stores log files in following folders. To access these, admin rights are
required and hidden files must be shown.

The log files from the Server Service can be found at:
C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Temp
−
The log files from the client application can be found at:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp or %TEMP%

WERMA exception-*.xml files contain information on client and Service crashes.
−
WERMA-*.log files contain log entries recorded during the execution of the application.

Activating detailed logging
Proceed as follows to increase informative content and the quantity of log files:
1.
Open Windows Explorer

Open the path to the configurations file: %LocalAppData%\WERMA\WERMA-
StockSAVER-1.0\Configuration.ini
3.
Open Configuration.ini
4.
In Settings, make, for example, the following adjustments:

LogLevel = 5
−
LogCount = 1000

Save and close
6.
Restart the StockSAVER application and, if necessary, the Server Service on the respective
PC

Log file parameters
The following adjustments can be made to the ini file:
Parameter
Description
LogDays
Number of days after which the log files are deleted
E.g. = 8 => log files are retained for 8 days.
LogCount
Number of log files that are saved
E.g. = 500 => Up to 500 log files are saved
LogLevel
Level of detail of documentation in the log files
= 0 => no logging
= 1 => only errors are logged
= 2 => (default) = errors and warnings are logged
= 3 => errors, warnings and info are logged
= 4 => errors, warnings, information and debug information are logged
= 5 => errors, warnings, information, debug information and database
commands are logged
LogComm
For hardware data
= 0 (default) => hardware data logging deactivated
= 1 => only received hardware data is logged
= 2 => hardware data logging with timestamp and other
information
