Attaching the hardware to racks

Action

Deactivate

If the posting confirmation function of the SmartBox is NOT

activated, then a confirmation beep will be heard after correct

replenishment of a Location. If the replenishment was made to

the wrong Location, an error signal will be given by the

SmartBox which will wait until the user confirms that the

placement error has been rectified (by pressing the button on

the SmartBox).

If you choose to activate this function, then the system will check to ensure that the
appropriate firmware version is installed on the Transceiver via which the SmartBox
communicates. If this is not the case, then you will see the following message:

In this case, you must abort the configuration of the SmartBox. The firmware of the relevant
Transceiver must then be updated. The SmartBox can then be configured again.

5.8.4

Connect the SmartBox and Transceiver to the rack

1.

Connect the SmartBox with the SensorBox bus cable.

2.

Connect the SmartBox to the power supply.

3.

Connect the Transceiver to the power supply.

4.

Connect the Transceiver to the Ethernet connection.
