To prevent impermissible or unintentional changes to the ESPE, a password must be
entered to carry out a parameter configuration (see
• Setting parameter data requires user level “Admin”.
• There is only one password for the ESPE, regardless of whether the setting takes place on
the control panel or via IO-Link.
The following parameters can be set and/or read:
Device settings
Block device access
Block parameter settings via IO-Link (regardless of the password)
PasswordParamEntry 4-digit password must be entered to start the parameter configuration

This parameter must be set and saved to apply the parameter in the memory of the
ESPE
