Damaged, frayed or rusty cables must be changed immediately.
WARNINGS:
•
In rain or damp weather, braking distances are
longer. It is recommended to pre-empt your
braking in this situation.
•
When cornering and braking, the handlebars can
have a negative influence on the response time of
the cyclist.
V-Brake adjustment
The pads exert pressure directly on the rim of the wheel (2). The
intensity of the pressure is controlled by a lever connected to the brake
by a cable (25). Do not operate the brake lever (24) when the wheel is
detached from the frame.
•
Position the caliper arms vertically and parallel using the correct
cable tension. Once the cable position has been defined,
tighten the cable with the appropriate screw.
•
Align the pad with the side of the wheel rim.
