Connecting the sand filtration system to the pool
A connecting hose to the skimmer of your pool (where the dirty water is aspirated) is laid on the
suction side (the connection is made to the filter pump on the pre-filter).
The purified water is returned to the pool through a connecting hose between the valve of your
filtration system (the valve has 3 black hose adapters marked as follows: Return, Waste and Pump)
and the hose adapter marked "Return“.
1 = filter pump
2 = skimmer
3 = valve
4 = inlet nozzle
3. Regular backwashing
Perform a filter cleaning operation (backwashing) once a week.
In order to be able to precisely determine the moment of filter cleaning -BACKWASH- , we
recommend using a pressure gauge (only included as standard in the scope of delivery from SF 152
and above). The pressure in systems with a pressure gauge is to be read on the pressure gauge. If
the pressure increases by 0.3 bar (max. 0.6 bar), a backwash must be performed. It is recommended
performing backwashing in a weekly cycle, even if this value is not reached; the filter sand then
remains loose and does not adhere. The pressure gauge can be subsequently purchased separately
for filtration systems SF 128 to SF 142 (article no.: 59252960060). Please refer to your dealer in this
connection if necessary.
Important: Top up the shortfall in the water level of the swimming pool with fresh water after
backwashing!
3.1 Backwashing
Set the 6-way valve
(1)
to -BACKWASH- .
Switch on the filtration system.
Once clean water is delivered, the backwashing process is completed, which should take
approximately 3 minutes at the most.
Set the 6-way valve
(1)
to -FILTER- or -RINSE- (switch off the power supply beforehand).
