3.2 Rinsing
The 6-way valve
(1)
offers the additional possibility of channeling portions of the residual
contamination into the drain instead of into the swimming pool after backwashing.
The 6-way valve
(1)
is to be set to -RINSE- for this procedure.
Switch on the filtration system for max. 30 seconds and subsequently reset the 6-way valve
(1)
to
-FILTER- .
4. Maintenance work
4.1 Maintaining the filter container
If the system is under the water surface, the gate valves are to be closed during maintenance work
and opened again once the maintenance work is complete.
The filling level and condition of the silica sand are to be checked once a year. The sand must flow
freely through the hand! The entire silica sand must be replaced if lumps have formed. Refer to
section "Filling 2.2“.
4.2 Maintaining the circulating pump
Switch off the pump
(10)
and set the 6-way valve
(1)
to -CLOSED- . Observe item 1.1.2! Remove the
filter basket from the pre-filter and clean. Do not operate the pump
(1)
without a strainer. Drain the
pump completely in winter and store it away from frost and occasionally rotate the motor shaft in order
to avoid shaft incrustation by lime scale deposits.
4.2.1 Pre-filter
The pre-filter incorporated in the pump
(10)
must be periodically cleaned depending on the degree of
contamination.
4.2.2 Bearings
Both motor bearings are self-lubricating and do not require any maintenance.
4.2.3 Shaft seal
The shaft is equipped with a mechanical seal which may leak after a more prolonged operating period.
Replacement should be performed by a specialist.
4.2.5 Motor
No particular maintenance is required.
4.2.6 Maintaining the 6-way valve (1)
This valve is maintenance free; nevertheless, it is important that the pump always be switched off first
before adjustment.
4.3 General maintenance
-
The swimming pool is to be cared for and maintained according to the manufacturer's relevant
guidelines (refer also to item 7).
-
The skimmer sieve in the surface skimmer is to be cleaned regularly at shorter intervals.
-
It is essential to ensure that the water level in the pool always extends at least up to the centre
of the skimmer.
