3. BLUE thread guide path (threading needle thread D)
Threading
Prerequisite:
•
The brown thread of the lower looper has been threaded.
•
The front cover is closed.
•
The cover is switched off.
•
The plug has been disconnected from the mains.
•
The cover is loaded with four spools.
•
The telescopic arm is fully extended.
•
The presser foot is in the upper position (only then can the tension
discs be disengaged).
Please proceed as follows:
1.
At threading position 1, pull the blue thread from behind
through the hole of the large oval metal bend of the thread
guide of the telescopic arm.
2a.
At threading position 2a, pull the blue thread under tension with
both hands
laterally
from left to right below the long small pre-
tension metal arm hook. When the blue thread engages into pre-
tension 2a, you will hear it click into place.
Attention: A pre-tension can only be built up if you hear an
engagement sound. Failure to observe this will result in an
incorrect seam pattern.
Picture detail for point 2
2b.
Keep holding the blue thread taut and pull it from right to left
under the small round metal plate on the right side.
