9.4 Information on environmental protection
Preserving nature and protecting the environment is an important corporate
objective for Vorwerk.
LESS PACKAGING
We use only environmentally friendly material, which is recycled if disposed of
correctly. We are actively involved in cutting back on waste packaging during the
development stages and are committed to its disposal and recycling.
SAVING ENERGY
Vorwerk products protect the environment. They consume little energy yet pro-
vide high suction performance.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTION
We place great emphasis on protecting the environment in the production of our
products. We use recyclable plastics and paints. We deliberately avoid using pol-
luting flame retardants.
Our instruction manuals are made from sustainably managed forests and are
bleached without chlorine.
RECYCLABLE MATERIAL
The material in our products is almost entirely recyclable.
We largely eliminate the use of PVC.
When designing our products, we try to use ‘unmixed’ materials.
The substances used can later be separated accordingly at modern facilities
without excessive energy consumption. To make them even easier to recycle, we
have labelled most of our plastic components.
