22 Getting started
2.6 Releasing the transport lock
The Kobold VR300 Robot Vacuum Cleaner comes with an integrated transport
lock. To release the transport lock, you must first connect the robot vacuum
cleaner to the base station:
• Place the robot vacuum cleaner in front of the base station 1 .
• Ensure that the charging contacts on the rear of the robot vacuum cleaner are
touching the charging contacts on the base station.
The transit lock is now deactivated and the robot vacuum cleaner can be
switched on.
You must fully charge your robot vacuum cleaner before using it for the
first time. The battery has sufficient charge when the LED operating dis-
play remains solid green. For instructions on charging your robot vacuum
cleaner, see Chapter “3 Charging” on page 24.
You can install the VR300 app while your robot vacuum cleaner is charg-
ing for the first time. The Wi-Fi connection can be set up while charging is
in progress. See Chapter “5 Wi-Fi and app control using smart devices*” on
page 38 or the app for more details.
