• After lifting, the measured layer thickness value is displayed.
•
Now, correct this measured value to the known thickness of the non-metallic calibration disc
(500 in the example).
• Press the up button (7) and down button (6) to set the standard value for the layer
thickness standard (500). Press the confirmation button (4) to confirm the change to the
calibration value.
• To cancel calibration, press the Clear button
(5). When confirming the calibration setting,
the following appears on the LC display (2).
Now, place the sensor (8) directly onto the uncoated calibration disc. Wait for approx. 2 seconds
before you lift the measuring device off again.
After lifting, a zero value must be displayed. The measuring device automatically returns to
normal measuring mode. Two-point calibration is complete.

Verifying calibration
Measure a layer thickness standard with the measuring device in normal measuring mode. The
measured value must be within the accuracy tolerances ±1+3 %. When using a layer thickness
standard of e.g. 100 µm, the measured value should be within this range.
If the measured value displayed is outside this tolerance range, calibration must be carried out
again.
Reset the measuring device to factory settings. This is outlined in section ‘i) Resetting to factory
settings’. Then, carry out calibration again.
