• Measure a point on the measured object. The LC display (2) shows ‘PASS’ or ‘FAIL’ accor-
ding to the setting. If ‘PASS’ is displayed, the tested workpiece is good. If ‘FAIL’ is displayed,
the workpiece is a reject or needs to be reworked.

Setting and taking the average measurement
Average measurement takes three measured values at three nearby points and averages them.
This average value is then evaluated as good or reject. Set the required value (100 µm in the
example) for the layer thickness and the permissible upwards and downwards tolerance (10 µm
in the example).
