ESCRIPTION
Definition
A Low Expired Minute Volume alarm will be
given when the monitored minute volume does
not reach the set limit for the Low Minute Vol-
ume alarm for 15 ±0.5 seconds.
This alarm is only used if the Vivo 65’s patient
circuit type is set to Dual limb or Leakage (single
limb) circuit.
Priority
High
Possible cause
• Mismatch between Breath Rate and Tidal Vol-
ume settings and the alarm setting.
• Changes in airway resistance and or compli-
ance.
• Decreased Breath Rate.
• Leakage around the mask or within one of the
components of the circuit.
Setting min
Off, 1.0 l/min (Adult),
Off, 0.5 l/min (Pediatric)
Setting max
30.0 l/min (Adult), 10.0 l/min (Pediatric)
Setting resolution
0.5 l/min (Adult), 0.5 l/min (Pediatric)
Ventilator action
The Vivo 65 will continue treatment with the
same settings.
Indication
The alarm is given audibly with a tone and visibly
by the red alarm LED and a display message.
