DVL

The DVL (Doppler Velocity Log) is an acoustic device that calculates the vehicle velocity vector by
measuring the Doppler shift of its array of four transducers. When combined with the compass, the
ROV's direction and position can be also calculated. The position update rate is much faster than with
USBL acoustic systems, and can be used to provide feedback for autonomous flight operations.

Nortek

Nortek DVL 500-300m

The Nortek DVL 500-300m DVL provide acoustic tracking of the ROV's velocity vector which can be
used as part of a mathematical navigation solution to track the ROV's location. This also allows
autonomous dynamic positioning (station keeping and course following).
