Star Configurations

In order to connect keypads (any of Vicon’s keypads that have RS-422 connections) in a star

configuration, you will need a distribution line control. These devices are sold by

and allow you to

connect multiple keypads as shown in the following figure. You will need the distribution line control’s
instruction manual to make the connections, as well as the manuals for the keypads. For system
consoles, you will make the connection to the distribution line control using the RJ45 connector labeled

You may also connect receivers in a star configuration.
