Defining
Systems
When using the
Multi-Output Interface Unit, you may include VCRs and
(or AurorA)
multiplexers in your NOVA/AURORA/VCR or
system. The MIU address for each
and AurorA must be defined in the AurorA System Configuration screen.
1 .
To access the AurorA System Configuration screen, press and hold the Shift
key and then press the
F5 key to display the Main Setup screen.
2 .
Then press the System soft key. The Select System Category screen will display.
3.
Choose AurorA Configuration and press Enter to display the AurorA System Configuration screen.

4 .
Scroll through the four pages of
settings using the up and down arrow soft keys at the
right side of the screen.
5 .
The default
addresses are 0 through 7 for multiplexers 1 through 8, respectively. These defaults
mirror the
DIP switch settings discussed in

Manual
X939. You may edit these addresses as long as the addresses
at the MIU and at the system console are consistent. If the AurorA Configuration settings are incorrect for
your system, select the No soft key at the bottom of the screen.
6 .
Then enter the
number and press Enter. You will then be prompted to enter the correct
MIU address and the number of channels or you may select the Not Used soft key (AurorA multiplexers
may be 8 or 16 channels; all
multiplexers are 16 channels).
7 .
Press Enter and continue to edit until all addresses are correct for your system. If you have more than 8
multiplexers, use the up and down soft keys at the right to page up and down.
8 .
Press the Yes soft key when your settings are correct to return to the Select System Category screen.
