Creating a Macro
Note: Only managers may access this screen and create macros.
Macros provide a quick method of performing several operations with one keystroke. You may create up to 64
macros, each with up to 16 keystrokes. Each macro may have a user-defined title of up to 15 characters. For
example, you may define a macro to recall preset 10 on camera 14 and then activate auxiliary device
Perform the following procedure to create and title a macro.

Press and hold the Shift
key and then press F5 to display the Main Setup screen.
Select the Macro soft key. The Macro Title Entry screen will display.
Enter the number of the macro you wish to create (there are 64 macros available) and press the Edit soft
key.
Define a 15-character title using the Cursor Control soft keys as follows. The up/down arrow allows you to
move between the character set and the title entry line. If the arrow is pointing down, the character set is
active. Use the right and left arrow soft keys to move to a character and then press the Enter soft key to
enter that character in the title entry line. The Shift
key enables the alternate character set (lower case
and punctuation marks). Continue in this manner to create the title for this macro and press Save when
finished.
Press the Record soft key. The

Series Control screen will display (depending upon which
CPU is currently chosen). If you would like to record a macro using
or VCR functions, press the
F2 key until the desired screen displays.
