MOUNTING
VENDLET Standard should always be installed by a person with
relevant training.
Incompatible mattresses can cause risk of
entrapment.

Dimensional requirements, side rails
If the bed is equipped with side rails, these must be removed
before mounting VENDLET Standard. VENDLET Standard has
been tested and approved to function as side rails in accordance
with the requirements of EN 60601-2-52:2010.
When mounting VENDLET Standard you should take the follow-
ing dimensions into account:
A:
A distance of 2.5 – 6 cm (A) is recommended between the
mattress and the side rail on both sides of the mattress. If the
distance is above 6 cm the risk of entrapment must be evalu-
ated for the specific combination of bed, mattress, patient and
VENDLET system.
Likewise, it is important that the mattress guides are suitable for
the mattress and will hold the mattress in place.
If necessary, use one or two 15 mm spacers, to pull the mount-
ing bracket away from the bed frame.
B:
In order to meet the side rail requirements, the upper edge
of the bars must be mounted at least 22 cm (B) above the
mattress surface.
C:
The lower part of the side rail must always be at least 12 cm (C)
above the ground.

D:
The length must be adjusted in order to ensure that the gap
between the board and VENDLET Standard is less than 0,8 cm
or more than 2,5 cm (D). However, the gap must not exceed 6
cm.
VENDLET Standard is telescopic in length and can be extended
from 200 cm to 220 cm.
