4.3.4.2 Setting Up One-sensor Continuous Sensor Transmitters (4-2)
From the Main screen:
1.
Select Config (right selection button).
2.
Press “4” on the keypad.
3.
Select number 2 from the list of sub-menus.
NOTE: If there are no previously setup tags, then the receiver will go directly to the New tag screen
and the process will begin with step 5.
4.
Select sensor transmitter:
a.
If editing an existing sensor transmitter:
i.
Highlight the desired tag by either scrolling through the list of entered serial numbers or
entering the serial number on the keypad.
ii.
Select “Edit” by pressing the right selection button.
b.
If entering a new sensor transmitter:
i.
Select “New” by pressing the left selection button.
5.
Enter the serial number and press “Next”.
6.
Enter the frequency in kilohertz (kHz) and press “Next”.
7.
Enter the slope from the Transmitter Specification manual and press “Next”. A negative symbol (if
applicable) can be entered before or after the number is entered by pressing the “+/−” button on the
keypad.
8.
Enter the intercept from the Transmitter Specification manual and press “Next”. A negative symbol (if
applicable) can be entered before or after the number is entered by pressing the “+/−” button on the
keypad.
9.
Select the data type - depth or temperature and press “Next”.
10.
Enter the Minimum Period value found in the Transmitter Specification manual and press “Next”. The
default value is 200 ms.
11.
Enter the Maximum Period value found in the Transmitter Specification manual and press “Next”.
The default value is 2500 ms. NOTE: If the Maximum Period entered is not greater than the
Minimum period then the settings will revert to the default values.
12.
Press the MENU button to exit the coded sensor transmitter setup screen.
4.3.4.3 Setting Up Two-sensor Continuous Sensor Transmitters (4-3)
From the Main screen:
1.
Select Config (right selection button).
2.
Press “4” on the keypad.
NOTE: For coded two-sensor tags, two separate sensor tag entries are required – one for each tag ID
(sensor). Since the VR100 does not allow duplicate serial numbers in the sensor database, the serial
number for the second sensor entry must be different than the first sensor entry. We recommend that
you use the serial number provided on the specification sheet for the first sensor entry, and the same
serial number with a prefix for the second sensor entry. For example, using “20” as the prefix:

Sensor 2 SN: 201034857
