For safety and to avoid confusion, when a delay is programmed, please post a no�ce near the egress
bu�on to no�fy the users. Here are two example s�ckers for an egress bu�on with 5 seconds
momentary delay or 5 seconds press-and-hold delay.

If somebody opened the door and le� it open longer than the programmed delay �me, the keypad
will generate propped-up warning beeps un�l the door is re-closed. This prompts the authorized
users to close a door that was not closed properly.
This func�on requires an op�onal Normally Closed (N.C.) door posi�on monitoring switch on the
door (usually a magne�c contact or other door protec�on switch with N.C. contact).
