ed. The selection of a default camera yields several advantages:
• Every time a connection is established a defined view is obtained, e.g. from an
overview camera, before selecting one of the other connected cameras for details.
• When the internal motion detection feature is used, it is important to ensure that
motion detection takes place using the very same camera which has been used
during the configuration phase of the motion detection sensor fields and the sen-
sitivity.
• The video memory will record the video signal of the default camera. Therefore
after an alarm, the pre-alarm history will reflect the perspective of the default cam-
era.
