8.4.4 How to Use Web Authentication

If you want to use web authentication for a non-PPPoE dial-in user, do the following:

Step 1

Go to the

User Management > Web Authentication

page, and then select the

Web User Account Settings

tab to go to setup page.

Step 2

Configure a new web authentication user account (see figure 11-11), and then

click the

Save

button to save the settings.

Step 3

Select the

User

Account List

tab, and then select the

Enable Web

Authentication

check box.

Step 4

Launch a web browser, enter an Internet domain name or IP address in the

address bar, and then press

<Enter>

, the Device will automatically pop up an

authentication login page, see figure 11-13.

Step 5

Enter the correct user name and password in the text boxes, and then click the

Save

button, the system will pop up a prompt page (see figure 11-14).
