Recovery from Problem Conditions

6.  Return documents to the feeder in their original order.   

7.  Press and quickly release the Start/Stop button to reprocess 

documents. Continue with document processing.   

Clearing the Track 

Follow these steps when documents are jammed or repeatedly fail to travel to 
pockets.  First, attempt to start reprocessing by following the steps in 
“Recovering from Processing Problems” earlier in this section.   

1.  Remove jammed documents by grasping and pulling straight up with 

some force.  Do not pull documents backwards. 

2.  Inspect the track for obstructions such as pieces of paper, paper clips, or 

staples. 

3.  Attempt to remove obstructions using the Source NDP Track Clearing 

Card.  

a.  Remove the Track Clearing Card from its storage location in the base 

of the unit as shown in Figure 6-1.

b.  Insert the card into the feeder with the arrow pointing into the track.
