Removal and Replacement of Source NDP Components

Inkjet Print Cartridge 

The Inkjet print cartridge for the multi-jet endorser is located near the rear of 
the unit on the right side.  The cartridge has a self-contained ink supply and 
needs to be replaced when endorsements on documents are light or not 
printed.  Replace a used cartridge with a replacement cartridge from Unisys 
Direct.  For new units, you may need to install the Inkjet print cartridge that is 
shipped with the unit. 

Removing the Inkjet Print Cartridge  

Remove the Inkjet print cartridge as follows:  

Caution 

Be sure the document processor is connected to an AC power source 
before removing the covers. Otherwise, electrostatic discharge may 
damage the unit. 

 

1.  Remove the top-right unit cover.  Refer to Figure 5-3. 

2.  Make a note of the position (bottom, middle, or top) of the Inkjet print 

cartridge. 

3.  Grasp the cartridge positioning lever as shown in Figure 5-17, and push it 

down to its bottom position.
