4.4. Gun Controller Front Panel

6: Gun Controller Front Panel

1) LOCAL CONTROL connector

This connector is for connecting the supplied LOCAL CONTROL BOX (Tables 3.1 and 3.2).

LOCAL CONTROL BOX is a unit for controlling the DEFLECTION coil current, X/Y sweep, X/Y
positioning, and EMISSION current by the LOCAL operation.

2) HIGH VOLTAGE key switch

LOCK

If the high voltage needs to be locked so as not to be ON, set this switch to this position. If
it is locked, the gun controller ON/OFF button and the ON/OFF switch by external signals
are disabled.

LOCAL

When the key is set to this position, the high voltage is switched to ON using the gun
controller ON/OFF switch.
The ON switch by external signals is disabled.

REMOTE

When the key is set to this position, the high voltage can be switched to ON by the external
signal of the INTERLOCKS connector. The gun controller ON switch is disabled.

3) HIGH VOLTAGE ON

This is used to switch the high voltage to ON under the conditions where all interlock conditions are
ready and the HIGH VOLTAGE key switch is in the LOCAL position.

4) HIGH VOLTAGE ON

This lights up when HIGH VOLTAGE is switched to ON by the LOCAL operation.
In addition, if the key switch is in the REMOTE mode, this lights up when the high voltage is switched
to ON.

5) HIGH VOLTAGE OFF switch

This is used to switch the applied high voltage to OFF. Even when the key switch is in the LOCAL or
REMOTE position, the high voltage can be switched to OFF using this OFF switch.

6) GUN CONTROLLER DISPLAY

This display is for displaying the information and the control of EGC-10GS.
The touch panel system provides touch panel operation or switch operation.
See the separate operation guide.

7) ESCAPE key

This is used for DISPLAY operation. This is used for returning to the previous screen and canceling
the selected options.
