3.2 Program 2 – Unwrapped Delicate Instruments
Program 2 is recommended for sterilizing unwrapped instruments and
materials where the materials manufacturer recommends autoclaving at a
temperature of 250ºF (121ºC) for 20 minutes. The cycle ends with a rapid
exhaust and no drying is available.

Operations Sequence
•
Water Inlet phase: Water enters the chamber, to the required level.
•
Heating phase: Water heats up until steam reaches the preset sterilization
temperature.
•
Sterilization phase: Temperature is maintained constant at the preset
value for the preset sterilization time.
•
Exhaust phase: Condensate is rapidly exhausted from the chamber, until
the pressure equalizes to atmospheric pressure.
