control box will show 0% through 100% in the conveyor
side of the display.
The valve controls the speed of the conveyor belt by
regulating the amount of hydraulic flow and pressure
to the conveyor motor.
Hydraulic flow comes from the right hand spinner motor
(hose equipped with a quick disconnect at the manifold
block). The flow enters the lower section of the block
at port “IN” and is routed to PF2. PF2 will not have
enough flow to operate the belt motor if solenoid PF1
and PF2 are not activated or if PF1 is inoperative.
The controlled flow going out of the PF2 speed control
exits the lower section of the block at port “CF” and
goes to the conveyor motor to power the belt. Excess
flow (internal bypass flow) from PF2 is internally routed
thru the lower section of the block to port “EX” and is
returned to the truck.
Refer to the “Electrical Systems” maintenance section
in this manual for information about servicing the
electrical connections and solenoid coil for PF2.
The solenoid coil and valve body are replaceable
service parts. The valve body does not have any user
serviceable parts. If the valve is malfunctioning, it will
need replacement.
An O-ring kit is available for the
valve.
Refer to the “Electrical Systems” maintenance section
in this manual for information about servicing the
electrical components and electrical connections to
PF2.
Relief Valve:
The relief valve is located in the center
section of the valve block. The relief valve is installed
to prevent hydraulic pressure from becoming too high
in the system. The relief valve is a non–adjustable type
valve that internally routes excess pressure through to
the lower section of the block to exit at port “EX” and
returns to the truck.
The relief valve does not have any user serviceable
parts. If the valve is malfunctioning, it will need
replacement.
An O-ring kit is available for the valve.
Refer to the parts list section of this manual.
Hydraulic Fluid Temperature Sensor:
The
temperature sensor is located in the upper section
of the block in port “EX”. The sensor monitors the
hydraulic fluid temperature as it enters the top dresser
from the truck. During operation, if the fluid temperature
reaches 205° degrees Fahrenheit (96°C), the sensor
will send a signal to the electronic control box and a
warning will be displayed.
The sensor
WILL NOT
shut down the system if the
temperature exceeds 205°F., the operator must stop
