ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
Step 10.
(See Figure 8)
Move the truck under the Top
Dresser.
● Visually line up the top dressers front mounting
points
[22]
with the holes
[23]
on the front mounting
support, and the top dressers rear mounting brackets
[24]
with the rear mounting points on the truck frame
[25]
.
● Lower the top dresser to the truck frame and align
the top dresser’s rear mounting brackets with the
mounting points on the truck frame
[25]
. Insert the
hitch pins
[26]
through the trucks rear mounting
points, place a spacer
[27]
on the pin (between the
top dressers rear mounting bracket and the trucks
rear mounting point). Continue inserting the pin
through the top dressers mounting brackets. Secure
the hitch pin with a hair pin
[28]
.
● Continue lowering the top dresser until the front of
the top dresser sits on the front mounting points. The
pins on the front mounting points on the WideSpin
1540 TEC should fit through the holes
[28]
on the
ends of the front mounting bracket. Insert the lynch
pins
[29]
into the two front mounting locations. The
front of the top dresser must always be properly
secured to the truck frame to prevent the top dresser
from tipping up from the truck.
TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY,
AND TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK AND
TOP DRESSER,
the Front of the Top Dresser Must Be Properly
Secured
Step 11.
(See Figure 6)
Adjust the alignment of the
rear mounting brackets

mounting brackets and the spacers
[24 and 27]
.
SECURELY TIGHTEN the hardware holding the
rear brackets to the top dresser frame.
Step 12.
(See Figure 6)
Remove the lifting brace
[4]
and pins from the top of the hopper. Store the bracket
and pins for later use.
Step 13.
(See Figure 6 and Figure 7)
Raise the two
height adjusting screws
[19]
.
● Raise the height of the two height adjusting screws
[19]
to take up any slack between the front mounting
support
[10]
and the top dresser. Unlock the jams
nuts
[20]
on the screws and turn the top jam nut
until any slack between the top dresser and the
front mounting support is removed. The front lynch
pins
[29]
should be tight to the inside of the front
mounting support. Lock the adjustment by securely
tightening the jam nuts
[21]
on the screws.
