ELECTRONIC CONTROL BOX
I. Spinners OFF, Conveyor Belt OFF.
II. Spinners ON, Conveyor Belt OFF
III. Spinners ON, Conveyor Belt ON
Preset Buttons:
The control box is shipped with the
following factory preset speeds:
“A” Factory settings = 85% spinner & 85% Belt
“B” Factory settings = 45% spinner & 45% Belt
“C” Factory settings = 30% spinner & 80% Belt
Speeds are shown in the control box display. The
numbers indicate % of full speed. The factory settings
can be changed to any desired speeds and saved. The
speeds can also be locked to secure any changes.
Spinner Speed Switch:
Manually changes unlocked
factory preset speeds for the spinners in 5% increments.
Functional only when the control box is in an unlocked
mode.
Conveyor Speed Switch:
Manually changes factory
preset speeds for the conveyor in 5% increments.
Functional only when the control box is in an unlocked
mode.
Lockout Button:
Locks or unlocks access to change
factory preset speeds or to allow the user to enter and
change speeds. Also used to gain access to diagnostic
system performance information and to gain access to
change display contrast (brightness).
Metering Gate and Metering Gate Adjusting Handle:
The Metering gate
[M]
regulates the amount of top
dressing material released
from the hopper. The
metering gate is manually
controlled by moving the
metering gate handle. The
marks on the decal are for reference only, they do
not represent any measured amounts of top dressing
material. The metering gate opening size is controlled
in two calibrations, Lightspread and Heavyspread. The
metering gate stop pull pin on the side of the metering
gate mount must be pulled out to allow the metering
gate to be moved into the larger opening size for
Heavyspread.
Heavyspread Diverter and Diverter Locking Knob:
The Heavyspread Diverter
[N]
changes the
spread pattern during Heavyspread operation.
During Heavyspread, the diverter should be in
the lowered position, at position B or C. During
light application, the diverter should be locked
in the raised position, at position A.
The diverter can be set in positions other
than fully raised or lowered. Because of the
differences in top dressing material, setting the diverter
in a partially raised or lowered position may correct or
“trim” the spread to achieve the desired results.
Spinner Assembly Tilt Control Handle and Locking
Handle:
The tilt of the spinner assembly can be changed
by moving the tilt control handle
[O]
.
Total movement is approximately 26°
degrees. The tilt angle can be changed
up or down to vary or correct the width
of spread without changing the speed
of the spinner wheels. The tilt angle of
the assembly can be also be changed
to correct for the difference in hitch
heights of different tow vehicles. The
locking handle will keep the spinner
assembly locked into position.
