Ventilation Rates
Ventilation rates can be measured with the Q-T
RAK
Plus monitor in
terms of % Outside Air. To select one of these options, choose
VENTILATION RATES
by using the
!
or
"
key while in the Main
Menu and press the
↵
key.

% Outside Air
Percentage Outside Air may be calculated by using a temperature-
or CO
2
-based method. Percentage Outside Air is calculated from
the ratio between the differences of the supply air, return air, and
outside air by using the following formula:

RA
= PPM of CO
2
or temperature in return air.
SA
= PPM of CO
2
or temperature in supply air.

= PPM of CO

or temperature in outside air.
The following variables must be entered to perform the calculation:
OUTSIDE AIR, SUPPLY AIR, and RETURN AIR. Values for
each variable may be entered manually or by capturing a sample at
the appropriate location.
Calculating the %Outside Air
1. While in the
VENTILATION RATES
menu, use the

or
"
key to scroll and select
%OUTSIDE AIR
and press
the
↵
key.
2. Select either CO2 or TEMPERATURE using the

or
"
key and press the
↵
key. Press the

key to continue.
