4 Slide the main module back into the new FRP tube and position it so that the main module lines
up with the relevant holes in the FRP tube.

5 Refit the tube gasket.
6 Refit the FRP tube assembly and main module into the bottom case.
7 Close the case. See page 24.
Replacing the real time clock battery (XRS EID Stick Reader only)
Caution! Replacing the real time clock battery will reset the date and time. Reset the date and time
before returning the stick reader to the customer.
To replace the real time clock battery:
1 Open the case. See page 24.
2 Remove the main module, FRP tube assembly and tube gasket. See page 28.
3 Grasp the sides of the main module where it protrudes out of the tube and pull gently. The main
module consists of the main PCA and an antenna assembly. See
Figure 9 . Slide everything out
as far as you need to in order to expose the real time clock battery (located on the underside of
the main module).
