Printer Setup for Windows 95/98
1. Go to the
Start
button and select:
Settings
Printers
.
Add
Printer
(then
Next
)
Local
printer
(then
Next
again)
2. Select the appropriate printer driver and click
Next
.
3. Select NB1 as the port (unless the port name was changed to something
else) and click
Next
.
4. Pick any name for the printer and click
Next
. If desired, print a test
page. Click
Finish
to complete the printer installation.
Printer Setup for Windows NT 4.x and Windows 2000
1. Go to the
Start
button, select:
Settings
Printers
Add Printer
My Computer
(
not
Network Printer Server
)
2. Choose NB1 as the port (unless the port name was something else) and
select
Next
.
3. Select the appropriate printer driver and click
Next
.
4. Select any name for the printer and click
Next
.
5. Select
Shared or Not
(selecting shared will allow clients to add the
printer without the need for a printer driver). If desired, print a test
page. Click
Finish
to complete the printer installation.
Adding a Second NetBIOS Port
You should
not
re-run the install program to add a new NetBIOS printer
port. Instead, you should follow the procedures below:
